In 1977, Pele dubbed the game of soccer as "The Beautiful Game." Well, if Pele ever saw my team play on Sundays he might want to rethink that. Usually our seasons are filled with a lot of complaints and a couple of red cards. This past season was no exception but we still managed to finish 8-1-2. Whatever we're doing out there we need to keep it up because we win games . . . AND CHAMPIONSHIPS.
Last week we won the coveted NorCal Athletics Soccer Championship. What did we win, you ask? Just some bootleg t-shirts and a whole lot of respect. To top it all off, we beat the hated Transformers in the final with a score of 3-0. Afterwards, we all wore our matching t-shirts to Danny Coyle's and drank ourselves into oblivion.
